Paint, paint, paint! Choosing the colors was much more difficult that I ever thought it would be. After a few weeks of mulling over different ideas, I finallytook my sister (and niece, who didn't help at all) to the paint store and locked in some color ideas. We bought all the paint in one shot so I couldn't second guess myself when I got home. Here's what I got going so far:
Picture
The Entryway - Bright orange! This "room" is my favorite so far. The door frames sill need to be painted...I suggested the chocolate brown you will see in the next picture but was corrected that "brown door frames" are so 1970...so I got vetoed :( They do need to change color though, maybe just white?

My room - And the chocolate color was just speaking of! It needs a few more costs as dark colors seem to show every imperfection! This is only going on this one wall as a "feature wall".

The Stairs! I'm not sure I took a before picture of these but they were a grey, like the middle is now. It will be carpeted with blue carpet as well. I'm still not 100% on this yet but it's growing on me - anything is better than the previous grey right?

The Nap Room - This was one of the most difficult rooms to decide on, even though it's the easiest to paint, being just one color. I went with a blueish/teal called "Seafan" even though I have blue stairs and a blue bathroom. I didn't care for any of the other options and wanted the room be calming...I almost fell asleep painting it...

Well here it is! My first official web page...well, Blog/Webpage :) Thought I would start to post some "before" pictures of the renos going on in the basement - the "main stage" of Wee Watch!
The main play room!  Still quite the work in process but will be a bring color with lots of decor on the walls to brighten it up!
Picture
The kitchen - loaded with stuff but it's currently the only room not getting re-paint so it's become a handy storage zone!
The Bathroom - I was halfway through repainting the bathroom when I realised I had forgotten to take "Before/After" pictures so unfortunately it's half painted.  It was a light blue but I've choosen a darker blue to be accepted with rubber duckies and yellow!

My room - as you can tell, IT NEEDS SOME SERIOUS LOVE! But let's be honest, I don't spend much time in my room other than sleeping - busy busy busy! I'm thinking a deep blue or a deep red on the feature wall and then a cappuccino color else where? Bah, this is hard!
Picture
The Nap Room - Okay, have a look at the window, this is the best part! Those windows are currently 12" by 30". With new 30" by 60" windows in the garage waiting to be installed the basement is never going to know this kind of light - So excited!! Back to the room: Still trying to figure out what's best for the nap room colors. Light green? Light yellow? Light blue?

The Entry Way - Looking to brighten this spot up by adding some dimensions with two colors; possibly a light orange on bottom and solid orange on top? Or the same idea with purple? There will be coat hooks and a shoe mat, as well as colorful mailboxes for papers to go home at the end of the day!
